Getting Married at Holy Trinity: A Simple Guide

THE RIGHT CHURCH FOR YOU:
If you live within the Parish of Holy Trinity Hazlemere, or are members of the Parish Electoral Roll, or have a qualifying connection with the church we would love to conduct your Marriage Service at Holy Trinity. If either of you has been married before, please have a chat with one of our ministers.

There are number of qualifying connections that will enable you to be married here. These include: one of you have been baptised or confirmed at Holy Trinity, one of you or your parents have lived within the Parish, or your parents or grandparents were married at Holy Trinity. For full details please read the Qualifying Connections Form

MEETING A MINISTER:
You will need to have an initial chat with one of our clergy, this is normally done at the end of a Sunday Service. Please do let us know in advance which service you will be coming to and ask the welcome team to be introduced to the minister.

After this first meeting, our Wedding Administrator will then arrange to meet up with you to guide you through the next few steps.

GETTING THE LEGAL STUFF SORTED:
A Marriage Service is a wonderful celebration of the love between two people. It is also a legal ceremony, and therefore there are certain requirements that need to be met, and fees that need to be paid.

Firstly, you will both need to be British Citizens, and then complete the Banns of Marriage procedure. In order to do this we will need to see some form of photo id (e.g. passport or driving licence). The Banns of Marriage procedure takes  a number of weeks to complete so please do allow sufficient time for this.

Note: if either of you are not British Citizens it may still be possible to get married at Holy Trinity, but you will require a Superintendent Registrars Certificate.

You made us feel so relaxed and the whole tone of the service was very us. I had so many people comment on how great it was - one said they had never been to such a happy service

Frances & Chris

I would just like to say a huge thank you for being part of my daughter's wedding day, albeit I cried all through it, tears of joy, your service was fantastic we had a lot of compliments about it

Mother of the Bride!

We both really enjoyed the service. Your friendliness really set us at ease on the day for which we're both grateful! We found the wedding workshop very useful and all the help and guidance in our wedding preparations.

Kieron & Rachel

PREPARING FOR THE DAY & FUTURE TOGETHER:
We are completely committed to marriage and supporting couples in their lives together. Our desire is that everyone who is married at Holy Trinity Church has the opportunity not only to have a great wedding service but also the chance to invest in their on-going relationship.

We therefore ask couples to come along to our Marriage Workshop. This includes some practical planning for the actual service and some great input for building relationships that last.

GET MARRIED:
Every marriage service at Holy Trinity Church is a unique and special occasion. We give all the couples that get married a chance to have an active involvement in the planning of the service so that it reflects something of who they are. There are two different orders of service to choose from and a variety of music, readings and prayers to include.

By having your service in church, you will make life long vows and promises to one another in the presence of family, friends and God.
