The Essence Course - A fresh look at Christian Spirituality |

 Join us fortnightly on Tuesday evenings to explore together aspects of Spirituality from a Christian perspective. Using the renowned e s s e n c e course we will make a journey together which will inspire, inform and involve us. Run in conjunction with ConNEcT MIDWEEK, our regular cafe church expression, members of cells from across the church are welcome to sign up for this course, running fortnightly to allow frequent attendance at normal cells. When and Where? The Essence Course will take place in the Church of the Good Shepherd at Widmer End on various Tuesdays at 8pm. The six sessions are: - the journey so far, 19 September
- the journey within, 3 October
- the journey to a better world, 17 October
- the journey to wholeness, 31 October
- the journey to spirituality, 14 November
- the journey to the future, 28 November
What's involved? Each session contains a rich blend of biblical material, reflection, and a great range of activities. Activities are likely to include: crafts - collage
- meditation
- drawing
- salt dough modelling
- massage
Considerable use is made of music, poetry and symbols. Each time, participants are given simple homework tasks to do. |
